1. My first name is actually Karen, but I’ve gone by Lucy since I was born.
2. I have one sister and four stepsisters. There’s a lot of estrogen in my family!

17. One of my favorite TV shows is Bizarre Foods With Andrew Zimmern.
18. I’m usually drawn to and attracted to musicians.
19. I have a total of eight ear piercings.

24. I learned more about myself from making my album than from any other life experience.
25. I used to have a crush on one of my castmates — and it’s not who you think. My song “Lie a Little Better” is about that experience.

Lucy Hale opens up in the July issue of Flare about her new album and how Taylor Swift made country music “cool.”

The “Pretty Little Liars” actress debuted her first album, Road Between, on Tuesday, just a few days after celebrating her hit show’s 100th episode.

Although Hale won the singing competition show, “American Juniors,” when she was 13, she’s made her career as actress and was fearful of crossing back over to country music.

“It’s very scary being open, being vulnerable, putting yourself out there at the risk of failing,” Hale tells the magazine. “The scariest part is working so, so hard for something and then it not paying off.”

“But that almost doesn’t even matter to me anymore,” she adds. “Making the album was the best experience of my life.”

As for whether or not she’ll be the next Swift, Hale says, “I don’t really keep in touch with many of my ex-boyfriends, but there are some digs in the album for sure.”

Hale notes that Swift “made country quote-unquote ‘cool.’ And she made it OK to talk about your problems. And be vulnerable. And talk s**t about your ex-boyfriend. That’s so fun! Everyone wants to do that.”

So who was the lucky castmate? Read below to find out.

Lucy Hale‘s Pretty Little Liar‘s character, Aria, may be good at keeping secrets, but Lucy is not. The talented star just recently revealed the she used to have a crush on one of her PLL costars – OMG!

“I used to have a crush on one of my castmates — and it’s not who you think,” Lucy says.

We can’t help but wonder who it could be! There are so many hot guys on the show that it could almost be anybody. Since Lucy said it wasn’t someone we would expect, we are guessing her crush wasn’t on Ian Harding, who plays Ezra.

While Lucy may not be sharing who exactly she was crushing on, the star did spill that her song “Lie A Little Better” was about her mysterious costar crush.

Songstress Lucy Hale, who has just released her debut country album ‘The Road Between’, has revealed that Taylor Swift has been a great source of inspiration to her where songwriting is concerned.

Hale, who stars in ‘Pretty Little Liars’, told Flare magazine that she has penned a few tracks about former lovers and finds it cathartic to express her feelings in such a creative way, but credited the ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’ beauty with giving her the strength to do so:

“I don’t really keep in touch with many of my ex-boyfriends. But there are some digs in the album for sure.”

“Taylor’s untouchable. She made country quote-unquote ‘cool.’ And she made it OK to talk about your problems. And be vulnerable. And talk s**t about your ex-boyfriend. That’s so fun! Everyone wants to do that.”
