Lucy Hale Dishes About Upcoming Season and Aria ‘A’ Theories

ABC Family’s fan-favorite teenage TV drama series “Pretty Little Liars” is barely a week from airing its premiere episode for its sixth season and fans are still on the lookout for more information as to what the new chapter will bring. Here’s what we heard.

Actress Lucy Hale, who plays Little Liar Aria, revealed some tidbits for the season premiere.

“Starting season 6, we’ll pick up right where we left off which was I believe is the season 5 finale where the girls are held in this fake dollhouse, fighting for their lives, and we are for the first time of the show, doing a significant time jump,” she told Access Hollywod.

The hosts probed further about the said time jump in relation to the Ezra (Ian Harding) and Aria union which followers of the show refer to as Ezria.

“With the time jump, who knows. What are they doing with their lives and who are they dating? Who are they married to? Are there kids involved and what are they going to wear? Mainly is a still tormenting their lives?” the 25-year-old TV star teased.

The conversation went on to discuss the possibility of Aria as “A.”

“There’s a lot of Aria A theories circulating around since the beginning of the show and I don’t know where they’re going with that … but I would be on board with it. I would love to play the bad guy,” the actress said.

Hale went on to point out the endgame of the show and if she can see herself towards the conclusion of it.

“Yeah! I mean, we’re at the point now where there is an end point in sight. We’ve been doing it for six years and we’re picked up for a seventh season … I’ve always said, ‘I’ll ride it until it’s done.’ I think we still have ways to go but I’m also thinking about what I wanna do afterwards in film and in music,” she said.

“Pretty Little Liars” Season 6 will kick off with episode titled “Game On, Charles,” this June 2 on ABC Family.

‘Pretty Little Liars’ Season 6 Plot Speculation: Liars to Go their Separate Ways; No Longer Best Friends?

When “Pretty Little Liars” returns for its sixth season on 2 June, we’ll see the Liars still trapped in the compound of Charles’ dollhouse.

The premiere episode will pick up immediately after the events of the finale that saw Aria, Hanna, Spencer, Emily and Mona trying to escape from the dollhouse. But they soon realize they are trapped in the compound of Charles’ property, with no way to escape.

Charles is not going to deal lightly with the Liars, and the first few episodes will see him meting out punishment for their disobedience and wrecking his prom. Although they will escape before the 10th episode of the season, the torture they suffer in the dollhouse is going to leave the Liars with serious psychological issues, including post traumatic stress disorder.

The 11th episode of the season will see a time jump, and chances are high the Liars won’t be the best of friends they are now.

“It’s just cool to see how they’ve evolved,” actress Lucy Hale told People regarding the time jump. “From my knowledge, they’re going to go their own separate ways for a little bit. We still have a season and a half to go, so I’m sure there’s going to be more turmoil and craziness and everything.”

“For the first time, we get to venture out of high school, we get to grow up a little bit. We haven’t shot these episodes yet, but we’re doing hopefully a significant time jump,” Hale said. “So just to see if the girls are dealing with the same issues, if ‘A’ is still around, how much they’ve grown up.”

The 10th episode of the season might conclude Charles’ storyline, but the cast and crew of “Pretty Little Liars” have been hinting that there will be one more baddie in the second half of the season.

While Mona was the original A, and Charles Big A, the second half of the season will see the unmasking of Uber A, who many believe could be Hale’s Aria.

“Pretty Little Liars” will return to ABC Family on 2 June.

Pretty Little Liars 5.16 “Over a Barrel” Promo and Oh, What Hard Luck Stories They All Hand Me Press Release

New people bring new problems in “Oh, What Hard Luck Stories They All Hand Me,” an all-new episode of ABC Family’s hit original series “Pretty Little Liars,” premiering Tuesday, February 3rd (8:00 – 9:00 PM ET/PT).

Aria, Emily, Hanna and Spencer have been burned before by newcomers to Rosewood, so it’s no surprise the four ladies are wary when someone new crosses their path. Spencer lets down her guard a bit as she spends more time with Jonny, and Emily continues to try and figure out Talia as she keeps getting mixed signals from her co-workers. When Mona’s friend Lesli shows up in town, Hanna is tasked to get her back story and find out if Lesli is really who she says she is. Are the girls wise to keep an eye on everyone, or can they allow a bit of comfort room without worrying it is an “A” trap?

Meanwhile, Aria becomes concerned about Mike’s recent behavior and Holbrook returns to town.

“Pretty Little Liars” is produced by Alloy Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television and is executive produced by I. Marlene King, Oliver Goldstick, Leslie Morgenstein and Joseph Dougherty. The series stars Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Tyler Blackburn, Lucy Hale, Ian Harding, Laura Leighton, Shay Mitchell, Janel Parrish and Sasha Pieterse.
